Who We Are

We are the Twin Lakes Playhouse members who have been bringing LIVE Theater to the Mountain Home and North Central Arkansas for over 30 years. The number who attend our theater continues to rise. A variety of stage plays, from comedy to drama to mystery to children's plays, is attractive to all in the community.

The Playhouse is open to anyone wishing to be involved in some aspect of the theater. We are always looking for more members because it takes many individuals to put on a production. Being involved in the Playhouse can be in many forms. You may want to be on stage or you may also enjoy working backstage during a performance, building sets, gathering props, altering and sewing costumes or working with sound and lights. Everyone working together is needed to make a production a success. For those interested, we hold both actor and director workshops which are open to the public and we also have hands-on training on the sound and light equipment.

Community theater is a great outlet for interested children. We have attracted many in the community to attend youth workshops. In addition, we award a scholarship each year to a qualified student who wishes to continue their education in some aspect of the performing arts.
