SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

A $1000 scholarship is awarded each year to a deserving student working toward a degree in some aspect of the performing arts.   $600 comes from the playhouse and $400 from a private donation. The scholarship program is funded via the the benefit show held for each productions during the year. $150 from each of the benefit productions is provided to the Twin Lakes Playhouse Scholarship Fund.

All students who are either graduating from high school or who have already completed some undergraduate studies at an accredited college are eligible to apply. The primary requirement is that the recipient must complete one school year; if the student drops out, the amount of the scholarship must to be refunded to the Twin Lakes Playhouse Scholarship Fund. Application forms are available through area high school, Arkansas State University Mountain Home, and the Baxter County Library.

Twin Lakes Playhouse announced their 2010 Scholarship recipient as Delaney Ross of Theodosia, MO. Delaney proved herself worthy by her academic standing and her participation at the playhouse. Delaney acted in three plays at TLP: Big Bad and Steel Magnolias in 2009, and Treasure Island in 2010. She will be attending Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Giradeau, MO. Delaney auditioned for the performing arts program in December of 2009 and was not only accepted, but also offered a full tuition scholorship based on her audition. Delaney hopes to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with an acting emphasis.
